Ilkley 3rds win their league

Ilkley 3rds Rugby Team won the Combined Merit League Division 3 after a hard fought win against Leos 4th Team on Saturday. The win on Saturday (15 - 36) secured the league win with a game in hand. Ilkley 3rds captained by Andy Brown only lost one game during the season. The squad is made up of a combination of Veterans and younger players starting out their senior rugby career. The younger players have matured over the season and have added some welcome pace to the ageing team. Names to look out for the future are Tom Cripps (Scrum Half), Nick Lithgow (Fly Half), Nick Lockyer (Centre), Howell Anthony (Wing), James Newton (Flanker) and Josh Crane (Fullback).
