Dogs at Ilkley Rugby Club

At Ilkley Rugby Club, we have a clear policy regarding dogs on our grounds. While we understand that many of our visitors may wish to bring along their four-legged friends, the high level of activity across our pitches and training areas means that we must prioritise the safety and cleanliness of our facilities.

To ensure the wellbeing of all players and visitors, we kindly ask that you follow this policy, protecting everyone against the potential health risks, such as Toxocariasis – NHS Toxocariasis Information.

Please note that our grounds are private property, not public, and we have a duty to provide a safe and hygienic environment for all rugby activities. If you bring a dog to the club, it must remain on a lead at all times, and any mess must be cleared up immediately.

While we trust that most dog owners are responsible, failing to keep your dog on a lead could encourage others to disregard these guidelines, which could compromise our efforts to maintain a clean space for everyone.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our facilities safe and welcoming for all.

Thank you.
